READING THE LIGHT

Color is a clue.
Mass shapes the story.

Blue stars have hotter surfaces than red stars. But temperature alone does not tell you how bright a star truly is: size matters too. How bright it looks from Earth also depends on distance.

FROM STARDUST TO SOMETHING NEW

One beginning. Different endings.

A star’s initial mass strongly influences its life cycle. These are simplified paths; rotation, mass loss and companion stars can change the outcome.
